Why Chumi?

You came here because something about you isn't served by regular snacks. Maybe it's sugar. Maybe fiber. Maybe you've eaten enough protein bars to know they all taste like punishment in a wrapper. Chumi is the chewy snack I built when nothing else worked.

Chumi is chewy like the traditional rice cake such as Japanese Mochi and Korean Injeolmi, but built on clean ingredients. It's the snack that finally doesn't taste like a compromise.

What we fought to leave out.

Normally the chew comes from starch and sugar. That's the whole formulation problem, but we did it.

Sugar in every form

Cane sugar, coconut sugar, agave, honey, dates, maple syrup, brown rice syrup, tapioca syrup, corn syrup, high-fructose corn syrup, concentrated fruit juice.

Oils

Seed oils like canola, soybean, corn, sunflower, safflower, cottonseed, grapeseed oils, hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils, palm oil.

Artificial sweeteners

Aspartame, sucralose, acesulfame potassium (Ace-K), saccharin, neotame.

Erythritol & ~tols

Maltitol, erythritol, xylitol, sorbitol, isomalt, lactitol.

Artificial additives & Artificial preservatives

Artificial flavors, artificial colors like Red 40, artificial preservatives such as BHA, BHT, TBHQ, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate.

Flavoring/coloring

No natural flavor, no artificial flavor, no natural coloring, no artificial coloring. Black Sesame flavor comes from real black sesame & Matcha flavor comes from real matcha powder.
