By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

- Contact and account details: name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, account password.
- Order information: products purchased, order history, gift messages, delivery instructions.
- Payment information: processed by our payment providers (Shopify Payments, PayPal, Shop Pay, Google Pay, Apple Pay). We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

- Approximate location: derived from your IP address (city/region level, not precise GPS).
We collect this information through cookies, pixels, tags, web beacons, log files, and similar technologies. See Section 5 for details.
Information from third parties:
- Social media platforms, if you interact with us there or sign in using a social account.
- Advertising and analytics partners, who may share aggregated information about how you found us.
- Service providers who help us fulfill orders, detect fraud, and operate the Site.
Sensitive personal information: We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal information such as health, biometric, genetic, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation. If we add features in the future that collect such information, we will update this Policy and obtain consent where required by law.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
- Process orders, accept payment, ship products, handle returns and refunds, and provide customer support.
- Send transactional communications (order confirmations, shipping updates, account notices).
- Send marketing communications, where you have consented or as otherwise permitted by law.
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our products.
- Personalize your experience, including showing relevant products and content.
- Measure and improve the performance of our advertising on and off the Site.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations including tax, accounting, consumer protection, and food safety laws.
- Enforce our Terms of Service and protect our legal rights.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects without human involvement.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only as described below.
Service providers acting on our behalf, under contract, and bound by confidentiality obligations:
- Shopify (e-commerce platform, payment processing): shopify.com/legal/privacy
- Klaviyo (email and SMS marketing): klaviyo.com/legal/privacy
- Google (analytics and advertising): policies.google.com/privacy
- Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram advertising): facebook.com/privacy/policy
- hCaptcha (bot and abuse prevention): hcaptcha.com/privacy
- Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, regional carriers).
- Fulfillment and warehousing partners.
- Customer support tools.
Advertising partners. With your consent (where required), we share limited information with advertising platforms — including Google, Meta, and similar networks — so we can reach you and people like you with relevant ads. This activity may be classified as "sharing" or "selling" under certain U.S. state privacy laws even though we do not receive money for it. See Section 7 for opt-out options.
Legal and protective disclosures. We may share information to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests (subpoenas, court orders, law enforcement inquiries), enforce our agreements, protect the rights, safety, or property of Sweetifi, our customers, or others, or investigate suspected fraud or wrongdoing.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.
We do not sell your personal information for money. California and certain state laws define "sale" and "sharing" broadly enough to include our advertising activity even though no money is exchanged for your information. You may opt out — see Section 7.
4. Consent for Tracking and Communications
We rely on your consent for several practices:
Cookies and tracking. Where required by law, we obtain your consent through our cookie banner before placing non-essential cookies or activating advertising and analytics technologies. You may withdraw consent at any time through the cookie preferences link in our footer.
Marketing emails. We send marketing emails only to people who sign up for them. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.
SMS messages. If you provide your phone number and consent to receive SMS marketing, we will send promotional text messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of any purchase.
Recording and observing Site interactions. Some of our service providers use technologies (analytics, session-replay-style tools, advertising pixels) that observe how visitors interact with the Site. By using the Site after seeing our cookie banner and this Policy, and by accepting non-essential cookies through the banner, you consent to this collection and to disclosure to the third parties listed in Section 3, as applicable to your interactions with the Site.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:
- Strictly necessary: required for the Site to function (cart, checkout, login, security).
- Functional: remember your preferences (region, language).
- Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the Site (Google Analytics and similar).
- Advertising: measure and serve relevant ads (Meta Pixel, Google Ads, TikTok Pixel, and similar where deployed).
You can manage cookies through our cookie banner and through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit Site functionality.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out request for the sale and sharing of personal information from your browser.
Because there is no consistent industry standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, we do not separately respond to DNT, but we do honor GPC as described above.
6. Video Content
If our Site includes embedded video content, we treat information about your video viewing as we do other Site usage information described in this Policy. Where required by law, we obtain consent before sharing video viewing information with third parties for advertising purposes. You can prevent this sharing by declining non-essential cookies in our cookie banner or by exercising the opt-out rights described in Section 7.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to know / access: request confirmation of whether we process your personal information and a copy of the information.
- Right to correct: request correction of inaccurate information.
- Right to delete: request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to portability: receive a copy of your information in a portable format.
- Right to opt out of sale and sharing: opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: where applicable.
- Right to non-discrimination: we will not deny you goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised your privacy rights.
These rights are extended to residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Oregon, Texas, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Maryland, Tennessee, Indiana, and Kentucky, and additional states as their laws come into effect. As a matter of policy, we extend these rights to all U.S. residents.
How to exercise your rights:
- Email us at shop@sweetifi.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and describe what you would like to do.
- Use our "Your Privacy Choices" link in the Site footer.
- For California residents specifically, email us at shop@sweetifi.com to make a Shine the Light request (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.83) regarding personal information disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes.
We will verify your identity by confirming information already associated with your account or recent order. We do not require you to create an account to make a request. We respond within 45 days as required by California law (and may extend by an additional 45 days where permitted). For other states, we respond within the timeframes their laws require.
Authorized agents. You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf by providing the agent with written, signed permission and verifying your identity directly with us.
Appeals. If we deny your request and you reside in a state that provides an appeal right (such as Virginia, Colorado, and Connecticut), you may appeal by replying to our response. We will review the appeal and respond within the time required by your state's law. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general.
Opt out of targeted advertising:
- Use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our footer.
- Enable Global Privacy Control in your browser (privacycg.github.io/gpc-spec).
- Adjust ad preferences on the advertising platforms: facebook.com/settings?tab=ads, google.com/settings/ads, ads.tiktok.com.
- Use industry opt-out portals: optout.aboutads.info (DAA), networkadvertising.org/choices (NAI).
Email and SMS unsubscribe. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. For SMS, reply STOP.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy:
- Order and transaction records: typically seven years, to comply with tax, accounting, and consumer protection laws.
- Account information: while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure to handle disputes and legal obligations.
- Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or request deletion, plus a short suppression period to honor your opt-out.
- Customer support records: typically three years.
- Usage and analytics data: typically up to 26 months for Google Analytics; shorter where possible.
- Backups and archived logs: retained for limited periods following our standard backup retention schedules.
When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
9. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), restricted internal access on a need-to-know basis, and reputable service providers (Shopify maintains PCI-DSS Level 1 certification for payment processing). We require service providers to maintain appropriate safeguards.
No method of transmission or storage is fully secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you provide your information at your own risk.
10. Children's Privacy
The Site and our products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and our Site is not directed to children. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us at shop@sweetifi.com and we will delete it. Where applicable state law (such as California) provides additional protections for users under 18, we comply with those requirements.
11. Auto-Renewal Subscriptions
If and when we offer subscription products, we will clearly disclose the subscription terms, the recurring charge, the billing frequency, and how to cancel before you sign up. You will be able to cancel your subscription at any time through your account or by contacting customer support. We comply with the California Automatic Renewal Law and the federal Negative Option Rule.
12. Promotional Communications from Third Parties
Occasionally we run giveaways or promotions in partnership with other brands. If you enter, your information may be shared with co-sponsors as disclosed at the time of entry. We will obtain your consent where required.
13. International Users
Sweetifi operates in the United States. We do not currently market or sell products outside the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your country. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.
14. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their privacy policies before providing personal information.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top, and for material changes, we will notify you by email or a prominent notice on the Site before the changes take effect.
